Freezing and session packs
Pause a subscription while a player is ill or away, and see how session packs work: what uses up a session and how many are left.

A freeze pauses a subscription: the player stays away and the subscription runs that many days longer. A session pack is sold by sessions rather than by month: every "In" mark uses one.
Who can
Managers and up freeze and unfreeze subscriptions. The owner (and support, if allowed to see the finances) creates pack price plans. Anyone on the staff can sell a pack to a player.
Freeze a subscription
Open the player's profile, the Subscriptions and payments tab. Next to a subscription that is Active or Not started, click Freeze.

Set From and To (both days are part of the freeze) and click Save.

That's it:
- the subscription's end date moves on by the length of the freeze: freeze it for 14 days and it ends 14 days later;
- during those days its state is Frozen, with "frozen … – …" next to it;
- visits on frozen days don't count against this subscription;
- the price and the debt stay the same.
Unfreeze removes the pause completely: the end date goes back to what it was.
Session packs
A pack is a price plan: Club settings → Price plans → + Add a plan, type Session pack. Enter the Sessions (8, say) and, if you like, Months: how long the family has to use them. Then two rules about absences.

What uses up a session
- In and Late: always one session.
- Out: only if the plan has An absence without a good reason uses a session ticked.
- Excused: the first excused absences are free; how many is set in Excused absences that do not use a session. After that, each excused absence uses a session too. Leave the field empty and excused absences never do.
- A session with no mark uses nothing.
If a player has both a monthly subscription and a pack, visits go to the monthly one first (it has no session limit), so the pack isn't wasted.
How many are left
The subscription says, for example, "3 of 8 left". When the sessions run out its state becomes Used up; once the months are over, Expired. Parents see what's left in their portal, and when one session remains they get a reminder: "1 session left in subscription … Time to make the next payment."
Tips
- A wrong "In" mark used a session? Fix the mark and the count corrects itself.
- The absence rules are copied into the subscription on the day it's sold. Change them in the plan and they apply to packs sold afterwards.
- Monthly subscriptions remind the parents 5 days before they end.
FAQ
Does a frozen subscription still count as owed?
Yes. A freeze doesn't change the price, it only moves the days. If the club doesn't charge for the missed month, cancel the subscription or sell the next one with a discount.
There is no Freeze button
The subscription has expired, been used up or been cancelled, so there's nothing to freeze. Or you are a coach: freezing is for managers and up.
Do I need to freeze a pack with no expiry?
Usually not: such a pack is only used up by marks, so a pause changes nothing.
